Highlights of this crazy busy summer were, as usual, outside in this beautiful, stunning world.

  • Running up Table Rock two weekends in a row, just because.
  • Mandolin Orange at Targhee Bluegrass with the best of friends
  • Totality for the solar eclipse in my home town with the Tetons for our backdrop–one of the most amazing, beautiful, unbelievable things I’ve ever witnessed.  Ready to start chasing eclipses…
  • Running the Tahoe Rim Trail while there for a fantastic family reunion
  • Pacing Luzia Buehler to her first place finish at the Wasatch 100 ultra run.  Gotta admit, I liked it at the front.  Hoping to maybe do this race next year.  (Photo credit: Robert Athey at wowasatch.com and on instagram)

There were dozens of other noteworthy moments, but I’ll leave you with one last summer trip south with the family to Cassidy Arch in Capitol Reef.

For the beauty of the earth
